Soft plastic baits are great for catching largemouth bass. Not only do they look and feel like real food, but they can be rigged in several diferent ways. One of these is the Texas-style (which is with the hook point buried in the worm). This way is for fishing in weedy areas of lakes and streams.
Another way is the Carolina rig with an open hook. With a slip sinker attached well up the line. This lets your lure sink more slowly and has more action then the Texas style above .This is used in clear bottom areas.
Another popular option for clear areas and sparse weeds is to rig the lure on a light jig head because they are fished so slowly, they are an effective cold water bait. You can also fish them in warm waters. In warm water you should fish it along the bottom with a jigging motion or even fish it rapidly just beneath the surface. Experiment with it to see what works best for you. To get more useful fishing techniques click the link bellow.
